Truck Driver Causes Crash After Not Sleeping for 24 Hours

Posted by Alvin Wolff | Jun 09, 2014 | 0 Comments

According to a complaint filed in Middlesex County Court, the truck driver responsible for a crash that left comedian Tracy Morgan and two other passengers in critical condition, and took the life of another, had not slept in over 24 hours.

Truck driver safety is critical to ensure the safety of all people on the road.  This unfortunate and tragic crash highlights the fact that this can happen to anyone at any time.  Because this driver was not properly supervised to get adequate sleep nor trained to follow the company rules to rest, he did not see slowing traffic ahead of him and severely injured several and killed another.

Hopefully this man and his company will be brought to justice and will properly compensate those involved for their harms and losses.  Our hearts and prayers go out to Mr. Morgan and his friends, family, and friends' families.
