Federal Government Reverses Course, Will Release Medical Error Data

In a huge victory for the public, the federal government will begin releasing compiled data related to medical mistakes.  Too often hospitals will settle with aggreved parties out of court, and will require those parties to sign a confidentiality agreement so that the public never finds out about the mistakes that the hospital staff made from wrong sided surgeries to equipment being left in patients and everything inbetween.

Now, the public will have access to information giving transparency to the system, and keeping hospitals and staff from hiding behind confidentiality to allow them to continue to make mistakes and not having to tell anyone that they were made.
